OSPOLY: H.O.D Scolds Departmental President

The Head of the Department (H.O.D) of Mass Communication, Osun State Polytechnic Iree (OSPOLY), Chief Tope Abiola has recently scolded the departmental President on the report which stated that the examination timetable has been shifted as the result of yesterday's public holiday.


This was made known in an emergency meeting convened by the H.O.D to challenge the Departmental President, Hon. Omilana Opeyemi, on the unofficial report.


"The management has not announced any shift of exam or any changes of exam timetable, where do you get the fake news from, you have to face the panel for this ignorant behaviour..." HOD said.


It will be recalled that the earlier report on the shift of exam paper was signed by the departmental President of Mass Communication, OSPOLY, Daily Part-Time (D.P.T) program, on 18th October 2021.


According to the statement, "We are using this medium to officially announce that, there is no examination tomorrow due to PUBLIC HOLIDAY and it will continue on Wednesday with MAC 217 and tomorrow examination which is Mac 216 will be pertaking (sic) on Saturday this week. ( 24/10/2021)." 


Moreover, the students of National Diploma 2, DPT, OSPOLY have shown their grievances before the commencement of the exam.


However, the Departmental President has taken the blame and he promised to officially apologise.


"The information was obtained from an unofficial source, the mistake was that I did not confirm the source, for now, I will later offiapologise," he said.
