UNBUNDLING OF COMPUTER SCIENCE: NAPS SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH PIONEER ICT COMPANY (NEW HORIZON) IN LAGOS

  The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) recently held a meeting with New Horizon, a renowned ICT company based in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the recent announcement by Prof Idris Bugaje, the Executive Director of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), regarding the unbundling of Computer Science into four distinct programs.  These programs include:  1. HND Artificial Intelligence, 2. HND Networking and Cloud Computing, 3. HND Software and Web Development, and  4.  OSPOLY: H.O.D Scolds Departmental President By: Ridwan Olanrewaju  The Head of the Department (H.O.D) of Mass Communication, Osun State Polytechnic Iree (OSPOLY), Chief Tope Abiola has recently scolded the departmental President on the report which stated that the examination timetable has been shifted as the result of yesterday's public holiday. This was made known in an emergency meeting convened by the H.O.D to challenge the Departmental President, Hon. Omilana Opeyemi, on the unofficial report. "The management has not announced any shift of exam or any changes of exam timetable, where do you get the fake news from, you have to face the panel for this ignorant behaviour..." HOD said.
